What are SOP’s?
A Safe Operating Procedure is a variation of the term Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). An SOP is a formal detailed work instruction, often used in manufacturing and logistics, to ensure that work is completed in the manner required for quality purposes.
Why have SOP’s?
Quality, productivity and safety are the main drivers behind the development of SOPs for your business. Safety (or the absence of it) does not always show up in the decision-making of a business. For this reason, there is a safety law in the UK that require it to be properly considered.
