World-leading digital manufacturer, Protolabs, will be reintroducing its popular InspirON event at Birmingham’s NEC on 7th June 2023.

Attendees will hear insights from new research conducted by Protolabs into changing attitudes towards innovation, and new technologies being adopted by manufacturing businesses across the aerospace, automotive and energy sectors.

The afternoon event brings together technology and industry experts, and will share the results of new research from Protolabs and FT Longitude on innovation in manufacturing. There will be a keynote speech from Josh Valman, CEO and founder of RPD International.

Protolabs engineers will also discuss successful strategies and disruptive technologies that are impacting the manufacturing sector, sharing real-world experiences of how these can be implemented.

About the research

Protolabs conducted research with FT Longitude into innovation post-pandemic in the aerospace, automotive and energy sectors. With over 450 respondents from within companies across Europe, the report provides a credible, real-time look at the state of play for innovation in manufacturing.

Keynote speaker

The keynote speaker at InspirON, Josh Valman, is the founder and CEO of RPD International. He started designing and manufacturing at 13, was a consultant at 15, and still in his early 20s, he heads an innovative design and manufacturing business that specialises in making sure that innovation happens and is not just talked about. Josh delivers practical steps for those seeking to change their operations and seeks to disrupt established business models and challenges received wisdom on innovation strategy, out-sourcing and supply chain whilst looking at the future of R&D and technology.
