Yorkshire-based construction and event branding specialist, Monster-Mesh, has been awarded the protected Made in Britain accreditation, a trademark used by manufacturers whose products are produced in Great Britain and meet strict verification standards.
The supplier of large-format print including branded fence covers, banners, and construction site graphics has secured official recognition for its UK manufacturing credentials, as a growing number of businesses look to support the economy through their supply chains and more intentional procurement processes.
Supporting British manufacturing
The Made in Britain trademark is used by thousands of members across sectors ranging from engineering and construction products to consumer goods and industrial equipment.
The organisation works to promote British manufacturing excellence overseas and in the UK, while helping buyers easily identify products made here in the UK. This helps ensure that 80% of the value chain remains within Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
For suppliers to the construction sector in particular, the symbol helps to demonstrate product provenance, quality standards and supply chain transparency; factors that are increasingly important in procurement decisions. According to the British Manufacturing Barometer, 95% of UK manufacturing companies believe that the “Made in Britain” trademark strengthens their global sales.
Discussing the newly awarded accreditation, Mark McLennan, Founder at Monster-Mesh said:
“Joining Made in Britain is an important milestone for us. The trademark gives customers confidence that our products are genuinely manufactured in the UK and that they’re working with a supplier committed to quality and transparency.
“For industries like construction and events, where lead times and reliability matter, having a UK-based manufacturer can make a real difference. Products travel shorter distances, which is better for both the customer and the environment.”
Mark adds,
“The accreditation also reinforces our commitment to supporting domestic manufacturing and UK supply chains, ensuring that more money remains here in the UK economy.”
Since launching in 2018, the company has supplied more than 6,000 organisations and delivered over 135,000 fence covers, helping contractors, developers, and event organisers transform temporary site infrastructure into branded advertising and privacy screening.
The new accreditation reflects growing demand from contractors and project managers for reliable UK-based suppliers. With construction sites, festivals, and sporting events increasingly using printed materials for both branding and practical purposes, Monster-Mesh expects demand for large-format site graphics to continue growing.
