Yorkshire security manufacturer, Heald Ltd, announces renewed sponsorship with Hull City Ladies FC attacker Hope Knight for the 2025-26 season. In addition, the firm has provided sponsorship for the youth teams’ shirts and the socks of both the 1st team and the development team.
English football club, Hull City Ladies FC, was formed in 2001 and is an English women’s football club currently playing in the FA Women’s National League North.
Rachel Gay, Hull City Ladies Club Chair, comments on the sponsorship: “We’re thrilled to announce that Heald has renewed its sponsorship with Hull City Ladies, specifically our player, Hope. As a local manufacturer, Heald’s dedication to championing women in our community aligns with our ethos of empowering women to develop in the sport they love and achieve their dreams.
“Having redeveloped our Pathway, we have restructured our FA Girls Emerging Talent status for U9’s, U10’s, U11’s, joined the Junior Premier League U12’s, U13’s and U16’s and also joined the Hull Boys League U14’s as well as re-forming the Development Team. We have a clear focus on producing further homegrown talent that will go on to play first team football, and we’re delighted that Heald is supporting Tigresses and Lionesses of the future.”
Heald boasts a 60/40 gender split, reflecting its commitment to inclusivity and creating equal opportunities for women in the manufacturing industry, which is typically male-dominated.
The company’s Managing Director, Debbie Heald MBE, adds: “It’s a really exciting time for women in sport, with the Lionesses recently retaining their championship title against Spain and the England women’s rugby team winning the World Cup.
“As a company that champions women across all industries and sectors, we’re thrilled to see such talented women bringing home victories for the UK. We’re excited to be sponsoring Hope at Hull City Ladies and look forward to celebrating all her achievements.”
Debbie’s commitment to supporting women was recognised in 2017 when she was awarded an MBE for her contributions to export and the promotion of STEM careers, further highlighting the security organisation’s dedication to this cause.
