Over 50 businesses attended Laser Lines’ customer open day at the Digital Manufacturing Centre (DMC) in Silverstone earlier this month. Visitors saw the range of products that Laser Lines, the UK’s most established reseller of 3D printers and materials has installed in the live production environment. These included the newly installed Stratasys Neo800 SLA 3D printer as well as the Stratasys H350, the Stratasys F770 and the DyeMansion post-processing workflow.

Mark Tyrtania, sales director at Laser Lines, says: “We have run a number of these events since we started installing additive machines into the DMC two years ago. The feedback from customers has been fantastic at all the events. At this last one, we were completely up to max – a great thing to see as businesses want to see how additive manufacturing can achieve cost and time savings in action. Due to the response, we have added in some more dates and registration for these is now open.”

Mark continues: “Our collaboration with the DMC with the Stratasys Neo and other systems we have installed there means customers can see the systems working and really identify which solution would work best for them. The DMC is a great facility, and we are looking forward to further strengthening our partnership. If you are interested in coming to one of the future events, register your interest at https://3dprinting.co.uk/stratasys-digital-manufacturing-centre/.”

The DMC is a sector-agnostic, digital production facility with a focus on engineering-led solutions. It has many customers in the automotive, aerospace and medical industries but the facility can be used by all market sectors.

From a variety of AM systems and materials, through to finishing and inspection services, the DMC has been designed from the ground up with full traceability throughout the entire production pathway.

Located at Silverstone Park, the DMC’s 2,000-square metre facility has been developed alongside several industry-leading technical partners. The facility is certified to AS9100 Rev D and ISO9001:2015. It uses Part Production Approval Process (PPAP) and New Product Introduction (NPI) practices. The facility offers a wide range of technologies including polymers, metals, carbons and silicones.
