As with any aircraft, all Pilots are appropriately trained and competent, in accordance with CAA regulations, working to strict risk assessments, operations manuals and permissions data.
CAA Restrictions – All commercial drone operations are limited in this country to a maximum operational limit of 120 metres (400 ft) ceiling height above ground level and 500 metres (1600 ft) horizontally visual line of sight. ( Other flight restriction may apply depending on location).
Insurance – is provided to a minimum £10 million Public Liability as standard, higher levels of insurance cover can be provided.
All DSC-Ltd drones are fitted with obstacle avoidance systems, and in addition, some, such as the Matrice 200V2 series are also fitted with new ADS-B flight controls, the latest onboard technology in “commercial aircraft collision avoidance” Known as Air Sense, this system receives data from any approaching aircraft fitted with a ADS-B transceiver, immediately informs the operator of approaching aircraft giving precise location, flight path, speed and altitude.
The system calculates the risk of collision, sending a series of warnings to the operator, allowing ample time for landing.
Safety is further enhanced with the installation of both top and bottom airframe strobe beacons, allowing the UAS to be sighted over a substantially increased distance.

Aerial Photography
Aerial photography in the work environment, can prove to be particularly effective and can capture the true reality or potential of a situation properly, providing data that cannot be easily obtained from the ground.
Equipment
DSC-Ltd use the latest range of UAS’s including the Mavic, Phantom 4 Pro series, high speed – Inspire 2 – the chosen film industry aerial platform and the latest commercial – Matrice 200 V2 series aircraft. Each drone design allows for differing flight conditions, allowing DSC-Ltd to provide services both day or night, during dry or wet conditions and in wind gusting up to 40 mph. All drones have autopilot – return to home functionality, low battery warning systems and Autoland capability should a pilot become incapacitated.
In-addition, the Matrice 200 V2 series is now also fitted with ADS-B technology the latest in “aircraft collision avoidance”
